Carven, a French fashion house, was founded in Paris in 1945 by Carmen de Tommaso, known as Madame Carven. Initially specializing in elegant, accessible couture for petite women, the brand gained recognition for its fresh, youthful aesthetic and use of lightweight fabrics. Carven's signature included crisp silhouettes and vibrant prints. After a period of dormancy, it was relaunched in the 21st century, continuing to offer contemporary ready-to-wear that balances Parisian chic with a modern sensibility, often under various creative directors.
